John Jenks
John Jenks: Lead Pastor John grew up in Palo Alto, California. Following high school, he spent 2 years at Westmont College in Santa Barbara before transferring to UCLA and graduating with a history degree in 1978. Following graduation, John worked as a youth pastor for a year in The Dalles, Oregon before spending 3 years working in business in Palo Alto. John & Ann met in 1977 at Mount Hermon Camp & Conference Center near Santa Cruz, California. They were married in 1981. In 1982, John entered Fuller Seminary in Pasadena and graduated with an Masters of Divinity degree in 1985. He also spent a year studying at North Park Seminary in Chicago. John & Ann have 2 sons, Jason and Brian. Jason currently attends Western Washington University in Bellingham and Brian attends Whitworth college in Spokane. John served as an assistant pastor at Newport Covenant Church in Bellevue from 1985-89 before becoming the founding pastor at CCC. He loves to read, play golf, enjoy sports, travel, go to Sonics games, and spend time Ann, Jason & Brian. John loves the Snoqualmie Valley, the people of CCC and the joys and challenges of being our lead pastor. Oh, and he loves Maui! If you have never met John and come to CCC for worship please introduce yourself to him! John typically stays near the front of our worship center following each service specifically to be available to meet newcomers.
