Our Prayers

There are many ways we pray for our ministry at CCC. Here is a description of ten ongoing ways we encourage our people to pray for our ministry. In our prayers we affirm our complete dependence on God and express our genuine gratitude to god for who He is and what He is doing at CCC.

“And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.”  (Ephesians 6:18)

1.   Pray for New People:  Pray for unchurched people and spiritual seekers in our community. Ask God to help us be an inviting and welcoming church. Pray specifically for specific people! (Bringing My World to Christ) Ask God to help us share Christ with love, clarity and truth in an authentic and compelling way. Pray that many people will begin their relationship with Christ through our ministry at CCC! (I Timothy 2:1-4 & II Timothy 1:7-14)

2.  Pray for Love and Unity:  Pray for a growing level of love and unity in our church. Pray that we will have a unity and freedom in Christ where we major on the majors and minor on the minors. (Philippians 1:9-11, John 13:34-35 & I Peter 4:8)

3.  Pray for Spiritual Growth:  Ask God to help the people of our church experience real spiritual growth. Pray for CCC to be a place where we develop deeply devoted disciples of Jesus Christ.  Pray for our small groups to be great resources for spiritual growth among our people.  (Ephesians 3:14-19, Acts 2:42 & Colossians 1:28-29 & 2:6-7)

4.  Pray for our Sunday Worship:  Pray for our weekly corporate worship. Ask God to guide who comes and to bless every aspect of our worship. (Psalm 34)

5.  Pray for our Kids:  Ask God to help CCC be a place where our children and youth are loved and where they develop a solid relationship with Jesus Christ. Pray for our children’s and youth ministry leaders. (Mark 10:13-16)

6.  Pray for Workers: Ask God to help people discover and use their gifts in service to Him at CCC. Pray that many people working with a spirit of joy, humility, determination and teamwork will share in the teamwork of ministry at CCC. (I Peter 4:10, Matthew 9:37-38 & Ephesians 4:11-13)

7.  Pray for our Community and Larger World:  Pray for other churches in the Snoqualmie Valley. Pray for Newport and Creekside Covenant. Pray for our conference, missionaries and the Covenant’s ministry throughout the world. Pray that we might share God’s heart of care and compassion for people in our community and larger world. (Genesis 12:1-3 & Matthew 28:19-20)

8.  Pray for the Financial Needs of our Church:  Ask God to teach us how to manage our money in a way that is pleasing to Him. Ask God to give us joy and freedom in generous and sacrificial giving. Ask God to provide for the financial needs of our church. (II Corinthians 8:1-15 & I Chronicles 29:14)

9.   Pray for our Pastor and Staff: Ask God to strengthen and guide our Lead Pastor,  John Jenks. Pray that John, Karen Miller & Liann Smith and our other staff leaders will serve God together with sensitivity, appreciation and love for each other, the people of CCC and people in our community. (I Thessalonians 5:12-13)

10.  Pray for our Community Groups and Specific Events:  Pray for the specific activities, events, youth programs, seminars, retreats and small groups that are active at this time. Pray for the people leading these ministries. Pray that each of these will be used by God to touch people in life changing ways. (Ephesians 6:18)
