Tips for CCC Newcomers

Top 5 Tips of CCC Newcomers:

1. Relax and Get Comfortable! At CCC we’re a pretty casual group. When we sing, join in as you wish and enjoy it! Take a break when you feel like it. We don’t point out newcomers or force people in the crowd to stand up and speak. Our service usually lasts about 70 minutes. Following our worship enjoy some of the snacks and coffee.

2. Check Out Our Kids Stuff! We have lots of kids at CCC and we love them! We have children’s “Bulletins/Programs” on the small literature tables just inside our worship center. Look for information in our Sunday program and at our "Welcome Center" in our front lobby regarding our children’s programs and schedule.

3. Understand the Offering! If you’re new to CCC, we do not ask or expect you to participate in the morning offering. Our morning offering provides an opportunity for people to worship God with their gifts and to support God’s work at CCC. This is a very important way for people to express their commitment to God and CCC. The offering is always very optional. If you want to learn more about how we approach money at CCC you can talk with any of our staff/leaders or check out the "Finances" link on our web site.

4. Help Us Get to Know You! Fill out the “Communication Card” and indicate any special areas of interest as well as prayer requests. You can place this in the offering basket. These are given to pastor John who enjoys praying for you! You will NOT have people make a surprise visit to your home if you fill out a card! We encourage everyone to wear a nametag. This helps all of us get to know each other.

5. Share an Honest Prayer! Ask God to meet you and to help you know him better! We believe God wants each service to make a difference for each person. Share your questions, concerns, praises and burdens with God in your personal prayers as you worship with us. Come as you are with an honest heart, an open mind and the prayer that God will meet you. Pray for the others around you too! As we seek and worship God, He will meet us!
