Current Teaching Series

“Growing a Fruitful Life”

We all want a fruitful life. We want to grow in positive ways and develop the characteristics the Bible calls “The Fruit of the Spirit”. In this teaching series we will explore some of the most important steps any of us can take to experience the very things God desires for us. CCC Lead pastor John Jenks will share four messages during our Sunday morning worship services from Galatians 5:13-26 in the New Testament. We know it is not easy and we all have fallen short in different ways and to various degrees in our efforts to live a fruitful life. But we also can all be encouraged to know God wants to take us where we are and grow us in new ways this summer!

Where are you in your spiritual journey? How is your life going?

  • You may be a person seasoned in years of faith or just beginning a new search for God.
  • You may feel like your life is going great or maybe you are in a deep valley of difficulty.
  • You may feel spiritually confident or perhaps spiritually confused.
  • You may have been part of CCC for years or just been around CCC a few weeks.

Wherever you are – come as you are! God wants you to know He accepts you “As is” and at CCC we want to share this kind of acceptance with each other too. We also want to share a vision of God’s desire to grow each of us in new ways. We know we grow best when we are growing with each other. Please join us and invite your friends for this series! We are praying that this series will help you grow a more fruitful life!

“So that you may life a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way:

bearing fruit in every good work.” (Colossians 1:10)

Our Sunday Morning Schedule:

June 8: “Essentials for Growth”

June 15: The Power of Patience”

June 22: “The Freedom of Self-Control”

June 29: “The Truth about Humility”

You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another humbly in love. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: "Love your neighbor as yourself."] If you keep on biting and devouring each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other.

So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other. (Galatians 5:13-26)
